How to start — a guide to your first choice
Practical steps for choosing a first product, talking it through with a partner and exploring gradually. No moralising, just facts.

Before you start
For most customers a first purchase is an open list of questions, not a decision. That is fine — five minutes of thinking beats a month of returns.
Think through these three things before you start browsing the catalogue:
- Who will use the product. Alone, with a partner, or passed between two people.
- Where you will keep it. Bedroom, drawer, cabinet — that decides the size and shape that will actually serve you rather than sit in a box.
- Which sensation you want to try. Vibration, massage, stretch, pressure — every product covers a different need. There is no universal "beginner" product.
Step 1 — Choose a category, not a product
Start from the category where you know you will be trying a sensation for the first time. The most common starting point for women is a vibrator at moderate power (3–5 levels rather than 10); for men, a masturbator with a simple texture. For couples, a first purchase often includes lubricant — which is also the least risky first choice in terms of price.
Do not buy a "couples kit" unless you have a clear idea which of the products in it interests you. Kits make sense once you both know there is interest — not as a conversation opener.
Step 2 — Tell the materials apart
Every product we sell states its material in the description. The three we check most often:
- Silicone (medical grade). The softest, does not absorb odours, long service life. Compatible only with water-based lubricants.
- ABS plastic. Firm, non-porous, suited to vibrating internals. Easier to clean.
- TPE/TPR. Softest and most realistic feel, shorter service life — expect 1–2 years of regular use.

Step 3 — Start lower, not higher
Almost nobody complains that their first product had too little power. Almost everyone complains it had too much. Start with a 3-level product rather than a 10-level one. Next time you will already know whether you want more. A cheaper first product also tells you whether the category is what interests you at all.
Step 4 — Talking to a partner (for couples)
The most common mistake is to "surprise" a partner. A better approach: talk first to open the subject, then buy the product. A simple list helps — each of you writes down three things you would like to try, and you choose what appears on both lists.
If you are not aligned, a purchase will not do the talking for you. The conversation comes before the order.
Frequently asked questions
How does "body safety" help me if I have allergies?
Every product states its materials. If you have a known allergy (for example to latex or fragranced products), filter the catalogue by material and choose silicone or ABS. For lubricants, choose the version without fragrance and glycerine — that is a standard marking on the product.
I have a product that is not right for me. How do I return it?
Tell us within 14 days of delivery that you are withdrawing — you do not have to give a reason. We refund the full price of the product and the cost of basic delivery. The original packaging is not a condition of your right, but it does make processing easier. For sealed hygiene products the right applies as long as the seal has not been opened.
