A menstrual cup is a reusable medical-silicone cup that collects flow instead of absorbing it — cared for properly it lasts years and replaces hundreds of single-use products. Our range covers Fun Factory (the FUN CUP in sizes A and B), Intimichic, Iriscup, Nina Kikí, Satisfyer and Stercup, priced from 7.99 € to 27.99 €.

Colours run from magenta, lilac and violet through turquoise and aquamarine to pink, dark blue and blackcurrant. Accessories are stocked too: a cup steriliser at 5.99 €, and the Iriscup ships with a steriliser pouch included.

Our review indicates that menstrual cups are a safe option for menstruation management and are being used internationally.

Which size to choose

Sizing is labelled differently by brand: Fun Factory uses A and B, while Intimichic, Nina Kikí and Stercup use S and L. Manufacturers generally recommend the smaller size for a lighter flow and before a vaginal birth, the larger one after it or for a heavier flow. Capacity and dimensions are listed on each product page. If you are unsure, take a Satisfyer set: it packs both sizes, 15 and 20 ml, so you can compare them within the same cycle. Fun Factory states the FUN CUP holds four to six times more than a tampon.

Use, wear time and sport

The cup is inserted folded and opens inside to a gentle seal — positioned correctly, you should not feel it. Manufacturer instructions typically give a wear time of up to 12 hours; the figure that counts is the one in your model's leaflet. Because the cup sits internally and absorbs nothing, it suits sport and swimming. Expect a learning curve: in every qualitative study reviewed, insertion took several cycles of practice before it sat reliably.

Cleaning, sterilising and storage

Between emptyings a rinse with clean water is enough; at the end of the cycle boil the cup or treat it in a steriliser. Let it dry completely and store it in the fabric pouch supplied — sealed in an airtight container, residual moisture stays in the silicone. Avoid oil-based care products, which attack silicone.

Frequently asked questions

Which menstrual cup size should I choose?
Manufacturers recommend the smaller size (A or S) for a lighter flow and before a vaginal birth, the larger one (B or L) after it or for a heavier flow. A Satisfyer set with 15 and 20 ml includes both for comparison.
How long can I wear a menstrual cup?
Manufacturers typically state up to 12 hours. The figure in your model's leaflet is the one that applies; empty it sooner on heavy days.
Can I do sport or swim with a menstrual cup?
Yes. The cup sits internally and absorbs nothing, so it gets in the way of neither sport nor swimming.
How much does a menstrual cup cost here?
Between 7.99 € and 27.99 €, depending on brand and set. A cup steriliser is 5.99 € extra, and the Iriscup already includes a steriliser pouch.
Is a menstrual cup safe, including with an IUD?
The 2019 Lancet review (43 studies, 3319 participants) rates cups as a safe option and found no adverse effect on vaginal flora. It did record 13 reports of an IUD being dislodged, so if you use one, speak to your doctor first.
