Why We Verify Age

The ViagoShop online store offers products intended exclusively for persons of legal age. In the Republic of Slovenia, offering and delivering such products to minors is prohibited by law.

Key legal grounds:

• the Act on the Protection of Public Order and Peace and the Criminal Code (protection of minors from being exposed to content inappropriate for their age),
• the Consumer Protection Act (ZVPot) — the seller's responsibility for compliant sales of age-restricted products,
• the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — requirement to process the minimum possible amount of personal data.

For these reasons, entry to the store is only possible after confirming you are of legal age.

How Verification Works

On your first visit you are redirected to a gateway page with two options:

• "Yes, I am 18 or older" — you enter the store.
• "No" — you are redirected outside the store, to the public website of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia (gov.si).

After confirming you are of legal age, the cookie vg_age_ok with value 1 is stored in your browser. The cookie value is the only information about your age confirmation — we do not store your date of birth, name or any other age-identifying data.

The cookie is valid for 30 days. After expiry you will need to confirm your age again on your next visit.

What Happens if You Decline

If you choose "No", your browser is redirected to the public website of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia. No cookie is stored in your browser, and we do not record your visit in our databases.

On your next visit the gateway page is shown again. You may change your decision at any time.

The cookie is "strictly necessary" within the meaning of Article 157 of the Slovenian Electronic Communications Act (ZEKom-1), and therefore stored without your explicit consent — without it the store cannot operate in a legally compliant manner.

Your Rights

• You may delete the cookie at any time in your browser settings; on the next visit you will be asked to confirm your age again.
• You may stop the store from verifying your age by simply never confirming legal age; access will be blocked.
• You may send questions about age verification to info@viagoshop.com at any time.

Notes for Parents and Guardians

If you suspect a minor in your care has accessed our store, we suggest you:

1. delete the vg_age_ok cookie in the browser,
2. enable parental controls in the browser or operating system,
3. notify us at info@viagoshop.com if necessary.

ViagoShop reserves the right to additionally verify the recipient's identity (e.g. at delivery) in case of reasonable doubt about the buyer's age, and to refuse delivery if the doubt is not resolved.

Changes and Updates

The age verification rules may change due to new legal requirements or improvements to the process. The date of the last update is shown at the top. Material changes will be highlighted on the gateway page.
