Sustainability

A realistic approach

The adult industry is largely built around PVC, non-recyclable plastics and overseas supply chains. Claiming the shop is "sustainable" in the full sense of the word would be a lie. Below is what we actually do — and what we do not.

Packaging

Inner packaging is 100% recyclable: cardboard without plastic lamination, paper void-fill (no plastic air pillows), paper labels. We chose this packaging because it is cheap and works well for discretion — sustainability is a side benefit.

Original product packaging is the manufacturer's choice. Most commonly it is PET or PP plastic (recyclable); for larger items a cardboard box with plastic insert. We have no control over this; when a manufacturer offers a plastic-free wrap, we give that brand priority in the catalogue.

Delivery

Delivery across Slovenia and the EU goes via GLS, which uses a mix of diesel and electric vehicles. Where possible we choose the shortest route — which is also the lowest-emission one.

International delivery outside the EU is air freight. Inside the EU it is standard road delivery. We do not currently run a CO2 offset programme — the programmes we researched were not credible.

Product curation

Material preference. We give priority to medical-grade silicone (recyclable, long-lived) over TPE / PVC. For lubricants we prioritise water-based and glass bottles over plastic.

European manufacturers. When two equivalent products exist — one from the EU, one from Asia — we pick the EU manufacturer. Shorter route, lower transport emissions, clearer labour-standard reporting.

End of life

Silicone intimate products are not recycled through municipal recycling streams. Dispose in mixed household waste, NOT in plastic recycling (silicone is chemically different). Electronic items (batteries, motors) go to electronic-waste (WEEE) collection points.

What we do not do

• No carbon offsets. We researched the programmes; most are opaque or use questionable metrics. We would rather not pay for a programme we do not understand than sell a "carbon-neutral" label.
• No "eco" certifications without substance. The shop is not B-Corp, EMAS or similar. Reason: certification costs for a small shop are unfavourable, and the admin overhead would reduce the time we have for fast customer support.
• No false "100% recyclable" claims. Saying every part of the parcel is recyclable when the manufacturer's inner wrap is not would be misleading. We have split out what is and what is not.
